Do you have any questions related to garage doors? Check out our list of frequently asked questions here below to find an answer.
Why do I need to hold down the button of the remote for my garage door to close?
Based on the experience of our experts, it could be that there is an obstruction underneath the door. The sensors may also need to be adjusted. You could tell this if one of the sensors is not lit or if its light is blinking.
What does a sideroom mean?
The sideroom is simply the measurement from the sides of the garage door opening to the nearest obstruction or wall. Standard springs, both tension and extension, allow 3 to ¾ inches sideroom on either side of the garage door. On the other hand, EZ-SET extension springs require 5 and ½-inch sideroom.
How does a keyless door opener work?
A keyless door opener works without a remote control or key, thus the name. A code is programmed directly into the door. This is advantageous because it offers safety and convenience, and you never have to worry about being locked inside your garage.
How long does a garage door opener last?
You can expect a lifespan of ten years for your garage door opener. Our professional technicians highly recommend annual maintenance to extend the life of your opener. This involves visual inspection, adjustment, lubrication and replacement of parts when necessary. Safety features are also checked.
